Verslo žinios

Daily newspaper

Verslo žinios is Lithuania's only business paper. The Swedish group Bonnier Business Press AB owns 72 percent of its shares and editor-in-chief Rolandas Barysas owns 20 percent. It was launched as a weekly paper in 1994 and switched to daily publication in 1999. Verslo žinios has been badly hit by the economic crisis and seen its circulation shrink from 75,000 copies after it was founded in 1994 to under 8,000 copies. In recent years the outlet has focussed its efforts on its website VZ, the content of which is partially behind a paywall.
