More sex education in schools

The state must not stand idly by but must take action against this trend, Berlingske demands:

“Studies show that sex education can reduce young people's tendency towards homophobia. ... The head of the organisation LGBT+ Danmark, Susanne Branner Jespersen, also points out that a stronger focus on sex education in primary schools and in private Muslim schools is an obvious starting point. This seems logical. Homophobia has no place anywhere - and certainly not in today's Denmark.”

Tackle the elephant in the room

Jydske Vestkysten warns against ignoring the problem:

“We need to talk about the obvious. The study shows that the problem is particularly widespread in Muslim communities. This does not mean that all Muslims share these views. There are many Muslims who live and campaign for a more open Denmark. This is not about religion as such - it's about fundamentalism and dogmas that have no place in a free society. Because in Denmark we are free to love who we want to.”
